SEX? - A Healthy Sexuality Resource - Booklet

This booklet is a non-judgmental presentation of facts developed to help young people make informed decisions about relationships and sex and includes such topics as: decision making, sexual assault, sexually transmitted infections, and contraception.

The booklet was developed by a working group made up of staff of the Nova Scotia Office of Health Promotion and Protection and departments of Health and Education, District Public Health Services and a plain language writer. Other contributing members of the working group included youth representatives and community partners. More than 500 youth were consulted to find out what they wanted and needed to know and to review a draft of the resource. The resource was reviewed by parents and teachers in rural and urban areas throughout the province. The resource was also reviewed by national and provincial experts in the field of sexual health and sex education.

This booklet is available to order free of charge while quantities last, through the Saskatchewan Prevention Institute by calling (306) 655-2517 or see link below for the Government of Nova Scotia.
