Childhood Injury Prevention Coordinator
Permanent Full-Time Position
The Child Injury Prevention Coordinator is responsible for organizing, promoting, and delivering child injury prevention programming in Saskatchewan. The successful candidate will have a variety of skills and abilities to meet the following requirements:

Maintain current knowledge on causes of child injury and death
-
Understand injury prevention programming to mitigate injuries and death
-
Understand technical information (mechanics and physics) and share that information with professionals and the general public
-
Understand and interpret statistical information
-
Present publicly at conferences, to small groups and to the media
-
Organize, facilitate and instruct at technical training sessions
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
Excellent computer skills
-
Excellent interpersonal relations
-
Network and collaborate with multidisciplinary groups

Able to travel throughout the province. A valid Saskatchewan driver’s license is required.

A university degree in an appropriate discipline is essential
This position provides a variety of experiences in a supportive work environment. Orientation and training will be available. Start date: April 6th, 2010.
