AN EVALUATION OF THE COMMUNITY ACTION PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN: A SASKATCHEWAN PERSPECTIVE - FULL REPORT
Saskatchewan Prevention Institute, 2012This report presents the findings of an evaluation of the 23 CAPC projects located throughout Saskatchewan. The main purpose of the evaluation was to determine level of stakeholder satisfaction, if participants were achieving desired outcomes, and the impact of using a community development approach. Using both qualitative and quantitative methods, it was found that stakeholders (i.e., CAPC participants and community partners) were very satisfied with their involvement with SK CAPC projects and that projects were having a positive impact on the lives of children, aged 0-6, and their families. Overall, the findings speak to a future of improved health and well-being for the participants of CAPC projects in Saskatchewan.
